International Students

So a number of years after leaving your home country to extend your studies you will return to find employment. You may not know what has changed economically and politically in your country while youve been away and you are probably unaware of what employers there are currently looking for. And you may not have even thought about resumes, interviews or places to look for jobs. What should you do?

The Careers Advisory Service is here to help! All international students are eligible and welcome to utilise all of the resources available at their campus Career Advisory Service.

Services the Career Advisory Service offers includes:
  • Careers advice;
  • Job Search skills;
  • Resume help;
  • Preparing a cover letter;
  • Job Interview skills;

  • Postgraduate Information.
In this section of the CAS site are some suggestions for things you can do while you are still studying in Australia to plan for your future employment, including ideas on how to look for a job in your home country.

Visa Information: To determine your eligibility to apply for a work permit you will need to go to the ECU International Student Office for further information. Please note that Careers Centre staff are unable to assist in matters of immigration and visas.
