Connecting Students with Employers: ECU Careers and Employment Fair, 2008.

In 2008, approximately 6500 students will graduate from Edith Cowan University across a broad range of disciplines.

To assist our graduating students in their employment endevours, Student Recruitment and Career Services are once again hosting a major Careers and Employment Fair.

This event will be held Monday, March 31 2008 in the foyer of the new general purpose lecture theatre (Building 32) on the Joondalup Campus.

You can find out more about the programme for the day by reviewing the Exhibitor's Handbook.

Career Fairs are a crucial part of every student’s employment process. This event provides an excellent opportunity for our students and recent graduates to meet with employers face-to-face and to explore graduate opportunities.

It's also a great opporutnitty for ECU to showcase our fabulous campus and to raise the profile of our graduates with local, interstate and international organisations.

There are many ways that ECU staff can help to make this event a success.

Most important is communicating and promoting the event to students during lectures and tutorial sessions - many employers travel from interstate to attend these events and it's crucial that we attract a large and enthusiastic student audience.

Some Schools and Faculties have provided the contact details of employers with whom they have special or existing links and invitations to participate in the Fair have been sent directly to these organisations. Should you wish to have an invitation sent to a specific organisation, please contact Meredith Dixon 6304 2029.

We welcome your comments and invite you to contribute to the planning process through the CAS feedback page.
